Hi, I’m Kandy!
Friends have described me as a modern-day Renaissance woman, with a career and creative life that refuses to stay in one lane. I successfully ran a medical transcription service for nearly 30 years before continuing in administrative and executive roles within the medical field, all while pursuing a rotating lineup of side hustles fueled by curiosity, humor, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
These include writing Making Light of Being Heavy and the children’s book Mom Always Knows!, along with a delightfully mischievous throwback to my single years in Florida with Rumors: Sexcapades of a Single Girl. Along the way, I launched a comfort food lunch delivery service, started a baked goods business known for its award-winning date squares, dealt blackjack, and even invented a pet product called Doggie No Slips. And through it all, I’ve learned that life is a whole lot easier when you lighten up and have a laugh!
